Happy 4th of July folks!
We're celebrating as a BIG family (in-laws and my family), lounging at the parade, eating good grub, and of course, taking in the fireworks. It's gonna be swell and I'm sure I'll have awesome pictures to share later :)
But, until then, I wanted to share about our most recent adventure, a Seattle-scape to celebrate my mama's birthday. Get it? Seattle escape = Seattle-scape.
We started our day at the Seattle Science Center ...
My mama takes awesome photos. Period. But, she is always complaining that she knows her Canon can do so much more than she understands. So, we gifted her a 6 week photography class where she is required to take her camera and manual. I do have a minor hope that she gets photo assignments where she can make Jemma and brother the focus of her assignment. Then I can share her work with you all! And frame some. And blow some up on canvas. I swoon over pictures of my kids. Because I'm a mamas. Obviously. To ensure that she attends class in style we added this BEAUTIFUL camera strap to her present ...
Paisley Maizie, who sent us this treasure! My mama shares her camera with my two sisters, so, of course, Katie modeled a bit too :) Don't you love the pattern? And lens pocket? GENIUS!
It was a lovely girl's day out! Well, plus brother, I guess :) Happy birthday, Mama! You don't look a day over 39, how is it even possible that you are a grandma? LOVE YOU!!!
