When you buy from boutiques and small businesses you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home, you are helping: a mom put food on the table, a little girl finally get those dance lessons, a little boy finally get to be a part of the football team, a young lady get a new dress for her big dance, a fad get a present for his wife for the first time in years this Christmas.

Last Christmas there was quite a buzz about Small Business Saturday, a campaign in many towns encouraging families to support small businesses when it came to gift giving. My mom and I wholeheartedly participated in our downtown shopping area and Jemma, of course, was the biggest benefactor :)
Ever since, I've made it a goal to be more mindful of where I spend my money; especially when it comes to gifts. Shopping at small businesses whether a brick-and-mortar, online via Etsy, or at the Farmer's Market not only makes for a more personal gift, it also positively impacts my local community and individual families who thrive on the success of their businesses.
Over the last few weeks I've been working with a swarm of fabulous ladies who will be featuring their shops and products here! Many are WAHM and creative inspirations. Each have their own niche and style. Some have incredibly touching stories of what their profits support. I can't wait to introduce them and the best part, it's all about babies! It's going to be a baby gift-giving extravaganza around here!
