Raising Our Little Man

It’s not that I don’t want a boy. I always have. But, I am a little anxious, well, curious is a better word.

Boys are my unknown. I grew up with only sisters and no close boy friends or boy cousins. See what I mean? Girls, I get. Boys … what exactly do you do with them?

I’m so inspired by Mandy’s post about why she loves having boys …

So with that said, I think that part of the reason that I really wanted boys, was to do my part to raise sons with good morals & values, ambition & work ethic, honor & humility. But most importantly, I want to raise my boys to respect women and treat them well. And to honor the institute of family.

Mandy hit the nail on the head! It is truly an honor to be the mama to this little man. Dominic and are I are called to teach him, love him, shape him, and allow him to grow into the man God wants him to be. It will be an interesting journey I’m sure, but one that I am thrilled to be a part of.

Happy parents of our little man :)

Boys are a whole new territory to me and I can’t wait to share the adventures with you!

I so understand how you feel. Our first was a girl and then when I found out I was having a boy, I was excited but terrified. I had no idea what to do with a boy! :) Let me tell you, it's so wonderful! I never thought I'd be a mom to boys and I have two and I'm so glad I do. It's so much fun seeing life through their eyes! With a girl, you kinda know, cause you've been there, but with a boy, it's like seeing everything for the first time, so I was pleasantly surprised and pleased! You're gonna love it. Saying hi and following from the May Follower Fest! I'd love to have you stop by my corner of the world!Kristinacitycorporatetosuburbmama.com

I found you through the May Day blog hop and am looking forward to following along!I had a baby boy – Jacob – 4 months ago and seriously love him more and more each day. I always had a feeling that I'd be a mom to boys. Probably because I'm so girly and craft and absolutely despise mess and clutter! And because everyone else in my family only had girls. So far he has been an absolutle joy and I cannot imagine my life without him. It melts my heart when my husband talks to him about all the fun they're going to have when he's older – playing soccer and basketball, going to Cubs games, and all those other daddy-son bonding moments.Wishing you the best of luck and I cannot wait to hear more!xox,Dana @ five30three.com
