Ingredients
1 cup steel cut oats (we like Bob's Red Mill, but I've also found great deals in the bulk section)

1/2 cup milk or cream
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cored and diced apple
Directions
Add everything into your crockpot, give a quick stir, and set on low for 8 hours. Wake up in the morning to the smell of breakfast heaven and dig in! Moments later -----> you'll be dishing up seconds for mama and baby :)
My crockpot switches to warm automatically so I usually start it around 9pm, it cooks until 5am, and then warms until 8 or 9. Sometimes the edges get a little crunchy, but nothing to worry about.

oh thanks for posting! Ethan LOVES oatmeal and I know that I need a healthier alternative to the instant stuff. I will definitely be doing this ASAP.
perfect. thank you! i've been needing something to throw into the mix for quick morning meals. my husband especially will love this one, since he gets up and leaves way too early for me to cook him breakfast. :)
